Hi, I’m Beatriz — and welcome to Bea Destinations, a space created to share my love for travel, discovery, and the moments that make each destination feel unforgettable. Travel, for me, isn’t about checking places off a list. It’s about slowing down, noticing the details, and experiencing destinations in a way that feels genuine, intentional, and memorable.
I was born in Cuba, come from Spanish roots, and have called Florida home since 2014. Those layered cultures shaped the way I travel — curious, open, and always drawn to places with character. I’m constantly chasing hidden gems, scenic viewpoints, and those quiet in-between moments that don’t always make it into traditional travel guides but end up being the most meaningful.
Bea Destinations began as a passion project — a place to document my travels and creative perspective through photography and storytelling. Over time, it grew into a platform where I share destination guides, travel inspiration, and experiences designed to help you see the world beyond the highlights. Whether it’s a vibrant city, a peaceful coastal escape, or a lesser-known corner worth exploring, every place I visit leaves an impression — and every story here comes from real experiences.
Photography plays a huge role in how I travel. I’m always paying attention to light, movement, and the small details that give a place its character — the kind of things you notice when you slow down and really take it all in. I love finding unique angles and unexpected viewpoints, not to make a place look perfect, but to capture it as it actually is.
For me, photos aren’t just about how something looks. They’re about holding onto a moment — the atmosphere, the feeling, and the energy of a place at that exact time. Long after the trip is over, those images are what bring me back and remind me why that place mattered.

A little about me beyond travel — just for fun
I work remotely as a System Admin and Manager, with a double bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. That flexibility has allowed me to travel more often and build a lifestyle where exploration fits naturally into my everyday life.
I’m also an athlete and play right wing for the USA Team Handball Women’s National Team 🇺🇸, part of USA Team Handball. Competing internationally was one of the first things that truly opened my eyes to the world — and while travel is now my main focus here, that experience helped shape my love for movement, culture, and global connection.
At its core, Bea Destinations is about curiosity, creativity, and connection. It’s for travelers who want more than surface-level recommendations — who care about how a place feels, not just how it looks on a map.
