Hi, I’m Bea.
I’m an athlete, photographer, and thoughtful traveler. I document the places that stay with you long after you leave.
About Me
From Cuba to the World — One Destination at a Time
Hi, I’m Beatriz — and welcome to Bea Destinations, home to real travel itineraries. I built this space to share the kind of travel that stays with you: slow enough to notice the details, honest enough to tell you what didn’t work, and deep enough to actually help you plan. Not a highlight reel. A real guide.
I was born in Cuba, come from Spanish roots, and have called Florida home since 2014. Those layered cultures shaped the way I travel — curious, open, and always drawn to places with character. Every one of my travel itineraries reflects that same curiosity — researched, tested, and written to help you travel smarter, whether you’re island-hopping through the Caribbean or chasing mountain views in Patagonia. Before I finalize any trip, I also cross-check entry requirements and safety updates through the U.S. State Department’s travel advisories to keep my itineraries accurate and current.

How I Travel
Every Place Leaves an Impression
I started Bea Destinations as a passion project — a place to document my travels and creative perspective through photography and storytelling. Over time, I turned it into a platform where I share travel itineraries, destination guides, inspiration, and experiences that help you see the world beyond the highlights.
I’m constantly chasing hidden gems, scenic viewpoints, and those quiet in-between moments that don’t always make it into traditional travel guides — but end up being the most meaningful.
Photography
Capturing the World as It Actually Is
Photography plays a huge role in how I travel. I’m always paying attention to light, movement, and the small details that give a place its character — the kind of things you notice when you slow down and really take it all in.
For me, photos aren’t just about how something looks. They’re about holding onto a moment — the atmosphere, the feeling, and the energy of a place at that exact time.

A Few Things That Shape How I Travel
Beyond the Blog
I work remotely as a System Admin and Manager — a double bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University is what got me there. That remote setup is the whole reason I can travel this much: trips fit into a normal week instead of getting saved for two weeks a year.
I play right wing for the Team USA Women’s Handball National Team. Competing internationally is what first opened my eyes to the world — long before there was a blog, that’s where this obsession with travel started.
Tech & Remote Work
I work remotely as a System Admin & Manager, and I hold a dual degree in CS & Computer Engineering from FAU. Tech gives me the freedom to travel.
USA Team Handball Women’s National Team Athlete
I play right wing for Team USA Women’s Handball National Team. Sport was the first thing that opened my eyes to the world. Read where the team has taken me.
Photography-Led Travel
I experience every destination through a lens, looking for the light, composition, and moments that capture the soul of a place.
Let’s Connect
